Sister Province Agreement between Békés county and North Sumatra sealed

Between 5-9 December 2017, the joint delegation of Békés county and the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary, accompanied by Hungarian businesspeople and experts, paid an official working visit to North Sumatra, the fourth most populous and one of the economically most significant province of Indonesia. During the visit, a Sister Province Agreement was signed by the leaders of Békés county and North Sumatra.

Gamma irradiation facility using Hungarian technology inaugurated in Tangerang

Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla officially inaugurated the gamma irradiaton facility implemented with the professional contribution of Hungary’s Izotóp Kft. Izotóp Kft. and the National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia (BATAN) signed the agreement in February 2016 regarding the construction of the irradiation facility whose aim is to sterilize food products and disposable medical devices.
