Dear Friends of Hungary,

We are pleased to invite you to a special evening of classical music, “Hungarian Melodies”, taking place on Tuesday, 1 July 2025 at 19:00, at Shoemaker Studios (10th Floor, Jalan Cikini Raya No. 95, Jakarta).

Organized by the Embassy of Hungary, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, and House of Piano Jakarta, this concert brings together musical traditions from Hungary, Europe, and Indonesia in celebration of cultural dialogue and shared artistic heritage. This event is part of a broader initiative promoting European–Indonesian cultural exchange, and aims to inspire appreciation of classical music across communities, especially among Indonesian piano students and lovers of European music, reflecting on our shared motto: 'Unity in diversity'.

The evening will feature the internationally acclaimed Hungarian-Japanese pianist Miyuji Kaneko, known for his expressive style and exceptional technical mastery. Born in Japan to a Japanese father and Hungarian mother, Mr. Kaneko studied at the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and has since performed at major concert halls across Europe and Asia.

To enrich this intercultural celebration, the performance will also include the participation of:

  1. Jakarta Youth Choir, recent participants of the 19th International Choral Festival in Budapest,
  2. Ms. Mia Ismi, Indonesian violinist and vocalist, performing both European and Indonesian pieces alongside Mr. Kaneko.

The concert is free of charge*, with prior registration required for seating purposes on the following link: https://forms.gle/2WbFencw1ZhgXLzD9
