In 2013, Hungary and Indonesia signed an intergovernmental tied aid loan agreement, under which a total of 36 small-scale water treatment investments were made in Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi and Flores. The Indonesian public procurement procedure was won by the Budapest Waterworks (FVM) and based on the contract signed in 2016, the implementation of the $ 36.4 million project was successfully completed by the end of 2019, providing clean drinking water to the Indonesian people living in the above areas.
